When you have identified a property of interest, you will want to make an offer to purchase that property.


Offer and Negotiating

This is how the offer process typically works:

  • Your agent will submit a written signed offer on your behalf to the seller’s real estate agent, along with the presentation of your qualifications.
  • The seller may accept or counter your offer as part of a price negotiation.
  • The conclusion of the process will result in a written agreement upon the price, terms and closing date.
  • You and the seller will need to engage capable and experienced South Carolina-based real estate attorneys.

Going to Contract

Once your offer has been accepted and signed, you will enter the contract stage.

  • Your escrow check will be deposited.
  • Arrangements will be made to comply with the terms of the contract such as arranging for inspections.
  • If you are obtaining financing, you will work with your lender to provide them with necessary paperwork to complete your loan & an appraisal will be ordered on the property.
  • Once all terms of the contract have been met, you will then proceed to closing with your attorney.
